Job Posting Guidelines
This information is provided to assist you in preparing and posting a help wanted/job announcement on OCAD.
The OCAD Help Wanted forum is a service available FREE to OCAD members to post career opportunities in the areas of commercial art, comics and illustration.
Job postings are reviewed by OCAD staff on a daily basis. OCAD staff may, with or without notice, remove help wanted/employer job listing from the web site if they are in violation of these guidelines, or any federal or state laws.
OCAD does not accept responsibility for the contents or accuracy of job postings. The listing company, organization or agent should verify details prior to posting a listing on OCAD.
Job listings will be removed from the web site if it is determined by OCAD staff that:
1. The employer requires significant monetary investment by the job seeker.
2. The employer charges a fee to job seekers.
3. The job order contains illegal, offensive, or unsuitable content.
4. The job specifications are discriminatory on the basis of sex, national origin or citizenship, religion, language, or age, unless supported by a federal or state law or by a Bona Fide Occupational Qualification.
5. The job listing is vague, redundant, out of date, or inappropriate for some other reason as determined by our staff or by complaints from users of the web site.
OCAD staff will also remove employer job listings from the site if the employer is recruiting for a position that is vacant because of a strike, employees have been locked out or when the filling of the job opening is otherwise an issue in a labor dispute involving a work stoppage.
It is the employer's responsibility to provide contact information so that job seekers may apply for the job directly, and to abide by these guidelines as well as all applicable laws and regulations.
List Building - Names and personal information of OCAD job seekers shall not be used for the purpose of building up lists for marketing purposes or for possible future use. Job postings are allowed only when an immediate job opening exists.
Note to job posters: If the position(s) you are seeking candidates for have been filled, please update your posting to reflect this.
